Meme

So I was looking at someone's LJ the other day, and there was kind of an interesting Q&A meme. Of course I neglected to copy it, and now I can't remember the person's username. I've recreated it as best I can, along with a few questions of my own:

What is the meaning of your LJ user name? I've written several short stories about my alternate life as Dr. Brite, coroner of Orleans Parish. This was in fact my earliest career ambition, but slightly later in life I became serious about writing and realized that I probably couldn't have made it through medical school anyway. Dr. Brite is my alternate self who is presumably better at math and chemistry, but who shares my enthusiasm for fine dining.

What 3 LJ friends have you known longest? [info]womzilla; [info]o_lucky_man; tie between [info]scrotumdad and [info]tjcrowley

Have you had sex with any of your LJ friends? Yes

More than 5? No

Is/are your significant other/s on LJ? No, he is far too busy for this nonsense.

Do you have LJ friends you've never met in real life? Yes

More than 5? Yes

More than 10? No

Do you have only LJ friends you've never met in real life? No

Do you have friends you met first on LJ, then in real life? No

Does it hurt your feelings when someone unfriends you? Only in an abstract way. We like to think that no one could ever bear to give up reading our deathless prose, but more than a decade making my living as a writer has shown me how terribly easy it is for people to do just that.

What would make you unfriend someone? Too many quizzes with little or no other content

Do you discuss personal information in your LJ? I try to avoid it as much as possible, but the dividing lines are pretty blurry for me. I talk a lot about writing, which is one of the most personal things I do, but also one of the most public. I don't talk a great deal about my family, my pets, my sex life, or any of the other topics that seem to be popular (and frequently quite interesting; I'm not complaining about people who do discuss them) on LJ.
